![]() So, my question is: is anyone familiar with this part, and replacing it? Is it a simple unplug old, plug in new operation? There's just very little info anywhere online about this. But the seller doesn't seem to really know what it is. I found an item on ebay that the seller calls an "Evaporator Sensor," part number 80560-SV4-A412, which looks pretty promising. In this video, it looks like it's plainly accessible once the glovebox is removed. This item has two leads going to it, which is as he described. I'm thinking that he's more familiar with other, probably older cars in which it does have that shape. This diagram shows an "Evaporator Temperature Sensor," which seems like it may be what he's talking about, but it's far from lolipop shaped. Well, I can't seem to find a part that definitely fits the bill. He told me it would require taking apart the dash to access it, and that it's shaped roughly like a lolipop. I've visited the local car AC guru a few times, and after some extensive testing (including plugging into a fancy OBD scanner), he has informed me that my evaporator core temperature sensor is malfunctioning. ![]() I bought my 2005 MDX earlier this year, and the AC didn't work. Edit: I had links to everything I'm talking about in this post, but my account is too new to include them so unfortunately I've had to remove them. ![]()
